Love’s like that

My first blog and it had to be about love. Typical me, huh? It’s just that I’m so darn curious. I read this article in the paper a few days ago. Most probably some of you have read it too. It goes like this:

"Hello. I’m Love. Do you know me? I bet you do. You can find me practically anywhere. I am there for everyone, yet I belong to nobody.

But you have to be very careful of me as I am very contagious. If you want me, you can get me from anyone - your parents, brothers and sisters, your friends, soulmate, and even your pet.

I’m really very special and different from my cousin, Like. When you’re before me, your heart beats faster and winter seems like spring. But in front of Like, winter is just beautiful and you’ll feel just the same.

The feeling of Love starts from the yes, but the feeling of Like starts from the ears. If you stop liking a person, all you need to do is cover your ears. But if you try to close your eyes, Love turns into a teardrop and remains in your heart forever."

Ok, now I’m confused. That last part, what the HECK does it mean? I’ve come across it before, but it gets even more confusing every time I try to make sense of it. Whoever came up with that philosophy? Sheesh. So, all the Dr Love’s out there, shed some light on me ok? Please.

Lynn, I’m so glad you’ve decided to make this blog active…what I can interpret is that the more you run away from love (by closing your eyes), the more you will be affected by it. It’s true, isn’t it? The more you try to forget a person, the more painful it gets…but you are free not to agree with this ;)

Hey, this is a new version eh? i think the first time i encountered this was when i was urm, in Form 3? back then, i was so darn impressed by the last line, thought it was very ‘insightful and witty’ and all that…

but truthfully, i’d say i don’t believe Love starts from the eyes…cuz i ain’t a believer of love at first sight, it didn’t happen that way to me. but yeah, i’d agree with sue, ‘closing your eyes’ might be alluded to ‘trying to shut your love away’ so that can be kinda painful. okay, lemme rephrase that. VERY painful.

welcoming you into the blogging world with a bunch of (imaginary) red and white roses, my dear! *hugs*
